You'll often hear my laugh down the road from the gym….

I have a lot of fun training my clients and I'm pretty sure they enjoy it too.

My name’s Ben. I’m a London based strength coach I specialise in ancient and unconventional tools like:

  • Persian meels (big wooden clubs)

  • Indian clubs (flowy, shoulder-happy circles)

  • Sang shields (yes, actual shields!)

  • plus stones, Bulgarian bags and other heavy awkward stuff

I love swinging Persian meels, spinning Bulgarian bags, and teaching queers how to do strongman!

Ancient Tools, Modern Bodies

Before mirrors, machines and protein-shaker culture, people trained strength through movement, rhythm and load.

Persian meels, clubs and shields are brilliant because they:

  • build strong, resilient shoulders

  • improve coordination and grip

  • support joints and connective tissue

  • feel playful, not punishing

They’re especially great if you’re:

  • coming back from injury

  • bored of standard gym training

  • curious about movement that actually feels good

Strength Training Without the Ick

BSW Wellbeing is:

  • queer-affirming & trans-inclusive

  • beginner-friendly (no prior lifting credentials required)

  • injury-aware and consent-led

  • intentionally low on ego

You don’t need to look a certain way.

You don’t need to love gyms.

You don’t need to know what you’re doing yet.

We’ll figure it out together.

What You Can Do Here

I offer:

Curious? Good.

If swinging clubs, lifting stones, or carrying ridiculous objects sounds even vaguely appealing, that’s probably a sign :)

About Me
Bulgarian bag club. Bulgarian bag training London.

I train my client base from the world renowned Commando Temple in Deptford, where I am the ancient strength and queer inclusive strongman coach. This is an awesome gym that is visited by the likes of pro-strongman athletes Terry Hollands, Brian Shaw and Eddie Hall.

The Temple is a wonderful independent gym which is home to an incredible range of equipment. Tyres, natural stones, atlas stones, circus dumbbells. It’s the best place to learn strongman and one of the only places to practice with ancient tools like Persian meels and Indian clubs in London.

I’m proud to say that the Temple is a queer friendly, safe space where your body, your identity and your goals are respected and supported. Not only that, but they’re celebrated!
