Assessment
It’s a scary word but it needn’t be. Assessments are a really enlightening experience. I’m training to be a structural integration practitioner and I utilise my skills in body reading and understanding of fascial lines, as well as mobility assessments to better understand you.
Your body just presents with a response to life, trauma, sport, work and family. It will protect itself, compensate in areas and tighten up where necessary. I can identify the areas or movements that might need working on in order for you to remain injury free or recover from injuries and niggles, develop your body awareness and confidence.
It’s then possible for me to provide you with a strategy to work alongside a strength routine in order to develop movement patterns and posture helping you to stay or become limber as a lizard!
121 Training
121 is a brilliant way to make sure that you’re doing everything that your body needs as well as doing the things you enjoy. I can help you get strong and conditioned whilst developing your movement patterns so you don’t make old man noises when reaching down to do your laces up!
Whether you’re training for a competition at the Temple or elsewhere, have a particular goal in mind or you just want to work on your longevity, we can plan this together and I can make sure you’re doing the right movements and intensity to get you there, whilst providing superb company and support!
I’m well versed in many areas of strength - from strongman, to endurance training to the things I currently most enjoy in my own sessions - Bulgarian bags, Indian clubs and Persian meels, Sang shields and yoga. Through experience with clients and my own development, I utilise my knowledge in these areas and injury rehab to help develop strength in many movement patterns in order to promote resilience.
Group Sessions
I am going to be holding regular sessions at the Triangle club in Deptford. There will be 3 blocks of 4 sessions aimed at the queer community in order to overcome gym and exercise anxiety. There will be sessions at the club, in the park and at the Commando Temple! Watch this space for details! Start date April.
If you’d like to try Bulgarian bags out in a fun group setting, I run free bag club sessions every Friday morning 9am at the Temple. We develop strength, endurance and speed together in order to develop our abilities at the Suples Bulgarian bag championship workout. Each session is half an hour but absolutely brutal! If you’re interested in either of the above then just get in touch via my contact page or the button below.
Myself and Alex Strambanu also run regular workshops and 4 week courses on the Indian clubs and Persian meels. They’re so technical but great fun and so good for your mobility!
