2. Every client receives a full consultation and assessment.
It’s just to see where you’re starting from and we can decide in more detail what you’d like to achieve. Then we can crack on, and we’ll have an awesome time every step of the way!
Nothing to fear.
I’ll have a look at how you hold yourself and see a few movements to check on your joints. Your body will tell me a fantastic story!
I’ll be able to see what areas are overused, underused, over stressed and how that’s impacted you, leading to any niggles, restrictions in movement, injuries.
It’s always mind opening this process - if I say so myself! Right away I’ll be able to make recommendations that will have a big impact on your daily life and training. I put a huge amount of work and study into the body and why it moves certain ways. That effort has meant I can decipher which lines of fascia require attention on clients, and more importantly, how to achieve better movement as a result.
3. I can plan and implement your journey!
From here I can also decide what factors we need to track to achieve your strength and movement goals, but I’ll also plan how to address any niggles that might present themselves during your assessment. This could be in the form of manual therapy, exercise prescription including homework with massage balls etc, or a mix to go alongside the strength training you do with me at the gym.
Most of my clients receive a mix of manual fascia work (massage therapy), stability/mobility/rehab exercises as well as fun and varied strength and conditioning training - this could include a mix of yoga flow, circular movements like clubs and meels and full body strength exercises such as stone lifting, as well as more traditional dumbbell and barbell work…it depends on training regularity, the needs your body present and whether YOU have specific strength goals that keep you motivated. s
